Action Drama Camp is a 5-day workshop introducing students to fundamental theatre instruction; including theatre games and activities that support the teaching. Time will be given to rehearse a collection of sketches that the students will then perform as part of Columbia Grove’s morning worship service on August 2nd.  At-home memorization is required.
This is sure to be a fun and safe place to learn introductory theatre and meet new friends!

Director: Laura Fox

laura

Laura has had a love for theatre for as long as she can remember. She started out in high school as Stage Manger for Our Town and acted in The Christmas Carol and Agatha Christie’s, The Mousetrap. The theatre bug bit hard which led Laura, into leading a ministry drama team that toured throughout Washington State and onto the Mission field touring Costa Rica.

Laura continued nurturing her love of theatre while living in Bellingham, WA and began working alongside the Director of A.L.T.A., a local community theatre. There she had the privilege to wear many hats, from web design, graphics design, acting, scene design, lighting, stage managing and directing. She soon became the President of the theatre board for several years before moving to Wenatchee, WA.  Laura has acted or assistant directed shows including Over the River and Through Woods, The Curious Savage, Step on a Crack, The Mousetrap (for the 2nd time), and The Trip to Bountiful

Laura believes that theatre is an important outlet for adults and children alike to build confidence, develop communication skills and focus on team building in a creative and safe environment. Whether you are comfortable in the spotlight or prefer behind the scenes, there is a place for everyone and theatre needs everyone!
