There are a number of ways you can financially support the ministry of Columbia Grove:
- Giving a check or cash in Sunday worship services.
- Automatic Giving. (Here’s the form for that.)
- Giving Online. (Here’s the link for that.)
There are several funds in the church to which you can give:
- General Fund – the fund that underwrites all general operations. (All gifts go here, unless designated otherwise)
- Building Fund – the fund for future building.
- Benevolence Fund – the fund used for community aid.
- Moving Ministry Forward – the fund used for special ministry development projects.
- Youth – used for camp and other youth ministry scholarships
Please prayerfully consider how God is calling you to partner with us in ministry.
Now it’s possible to give online using a simple, secure process.
Save time, simplify your life, and support your church! We are keeping up with the times by offering a new way for you to help our ministry. Our new Electronic Giving program is an automated program that will allow you to make contributions without having to lift a pen to write a check or reach into your wallet for cash!
Here’s how it works. You authorize a specified amount of money to be electronically transferred directly from your checking or savings account to the church account. You also specify the frequency of the transfer and fund(s) you would like to give towards.
It’s fast, safe and easy! In fact, it is less risky than checks, as it cannot be lost, stolen, or destroyed, and the rate of accuracy is high. The electronic transfer costs you NOTHING and you save the cost of the check. Columbia Grove will issue you a donation statement for your tax records, and your bank statements will provide you with a record of transfer as additional proof of your contributions.
Of course you can change or cancel your authorization of transfer at any time by notifying us in writing. But we believe that once you have enjoyed the convenience and savings of this new program, you won’t want to go back to the “old-fashioned” way of contributing!

Some Frequently Asked Questions About Electronic Giving
What is Electronic Giving?
Electronic giving is a direct payment program whereby your contribution is debited automatically from your checking or savings account.
What are the advantages of electronic giving?
It makes it easy to fulfill stewardship commitments, even when you can’t attend church. You never have to bring cash or checks to church. Giving electronically also helps the church save money and improve its budget!
How are my contributions automatically deduct from my account?
Once you complete and sign the authorization form and return it to us, the contribution amount you specify will automatically be transfered from your bank account to the church’s bank account.
When will my contribution be deducted from my account?
Your electronic contribution will be debited on the date you specify on the authorization form.
If I do not write checks, how do I keep my checkbook balance straight?
Since your contribution is made at a pre-established time, you simply record it in your check register on the appropriate date. Electronic contributions are recorded for you on your bank statement.
Without a cancelled check, how can I prove I made my contribution?
Your bank statement gives you an itemized list of electronic transactions. It is your proof of contributing. Remember, you will also receive a year end statement that can be used for tax purposes. Those with a church account log in and password can access and print off their own giving statement at any time they wish.
What if I change bank accounts?
Notify the church and we will give you a new authorization form to complete. Here’s the form you will need to do that.
